The ThermaCor1200 was used to save the life of fictional President Francis "Frank" Underwood, during his liver transplant due to an assassination attempt during Season 4 of the series House of Cards. The critically acclaimed and Emmy award winning  Netflix  series stars Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright as Frank and Claire Underwood  in their quest to secure and retain control of the White House. The ThermaCor1200 can be seen in three episodes in House of Cards Season 4 during Frank's hospital recovery scenes .
