Hugh F. Smisson III MD - Co-Founder / Board Chairman

Dr. Smisson is a board certified neurosurgeon and fellow in the American College of Surgeons. He is a graduate of the Emory School of Business Administration and the Medical College of Georgia. In addition to being in private practice, Dr. Smisson is an associate professor of Neurosurgery at the Mercer University School of Medicine.

Dr. Smisson is also the founder of Southern Spine, LLC which is a medical device company focused on developing technologies for treatment of traumatic injuries and degenerative diseases of the spine.

Richard G. Cartledge MD - Co-Founder / Board Member

Dr. Cartledge is a cardiothoracic surgeon at the South Florida Heart Center in Hollywood, FL. He completed his fellowship at Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He is a graduate of an accelerated 6-year combined medical and engineering program with Lehigh University and The Medical College of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Cartledge is also the founder of Mitral Solutions, Inc. which is a medical device company developing innovative, implantable devices that repair heart valve abnormalities.

David C. Field - CEO / President / Board Member

Mr. Field has over 18 years of medical device industry experience including Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Business Development. He has successfully managed multidisciplinary, global teams and effectively developed and commercialized medical devices for C.R. Bard Inc., Boston Scientific Corporation and Novoste Corporation.

Calder B. Clay III - VP Operations / Board Member

Mr. Clay has over 15 years of sales and marketing experience in the medical device industry. He has received numerous achievement awards in sales of laparoscopic products for Ethicon Endo Surgery, orthopedic implants for Osteonics Corporation and surgical instrumentation for Weck Instruments.

Ted Graham - Board Member

Mr. Graham is the President and Owner of Specialized Services, Inc. He has managed the company since its inception in 1992 and grown revenues to over $250MM annually. Mr. Graham and his family manage "The Graham Family of Companies" which consists of Graham Brothers Construction, Specialized Services Inc., M. Taylor Construction, Xpress Materials LLC, Graham Iron and Graham Restaurants.

These companies employ over 1,000 people and Mr. Graham is responsible for development of the corporate strategy and the overall operations of the conglomerate.

Thomas W. Glasgow Jr. - Board Member

After obtaining a B.A. degree from Michigan State University, Mr. Glasgow enjoyed a thirty year career spanning the heyday of McDonald's Corporation, the world's leading franchisor, currently with more than 30,000 restaurants and over $21 billion revenues annually.

He served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer for their worldwide operations and retired in 1997 to pursue other business and personal interests. He currently serves on the boards of several charitable foundations and for-profit companies.
